Joseph Harry Fowler Connick, Jr. (* 11. September 1967 in New Orleans, Louisiana) ist ein US-amerikanischer Musiker und Schauspieler. Sein Musikstil umfasst Jazz, Pop, Funk und Blues.

Leben

Er gewann seinen ersten Grammy für die Arbeit am Soundtrack zu dem Film Harry und Sally.

Sein Debüt als Schauspieler hatte er in dem Film Memphis Belle im Jahre 1990. Der Film handelt von einer Bomber-Besatzung während des Zweiten Weltkrieges. Weiterhin spielte er in dem Film Eine zweite Chance mit Sandra Bullock die Rolle des Justin Matisse sowie in P.S. Ich liebe Dich die des Daniel Connelly.

Su repertorio y estilo se aproxima al jazz por la vía del swing y de la canción popular estadounidense. Se trata de un moderno crooner, en la estela de Frank Sinatra. La carrera de Connick comenzó con dos discos de clara orientación jazzística (aunque desde un punto de vista muy tradicional), para luego centrarse en un estilo más pop.
