Ainett Stephens (born 28 January 1982) is a Venezuelan supermodel, actress and television personality.[2]

Active in South America since 2000, she lives and works in Italy since 2004. Considered a sex symbol of the 2000s and 2010s due to her considerable beauty and charm, she posed for multiple nude calendars. She participated in many variety of the Italian television.[3]

Biography

Ainett Stephens is "the most famous black woman in Italy"[4] according to the international press;[4] she is "an Afro-Venezuelan model of (mostly) African and Amerindian heritage"[4] that is surnamed[4] by the international press[4] as "the Naomi Campbell of South America".[4] In 2000, she was among the ten semi-finalists[5] of the Miss Venezuela beauty contest and subsequently posed for a calendar and the benefits of which went to the people of the Amazon Rainforest.[4] She speaks three languages (English, Italian, and Spanish).[4] After beginning a successful career as an underwear model in South America, she arrived in Italy in 2004 and apart from continuing her career as a model[1] there, she also enrolled for a degree course in communication sciences at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan. During the years she works also as social media influencer[6] and sponsor of charity.

Between 2005 and 2012 she took part as a model[1] in the festival of Rete 4 Sfilata d'amore e moda [it]. In late 2005 she made a nude calendar[7] for the man magazine Fox Uomo for the 12 months[8] of the 2006 year[9] achieving success.[10] She hosted three seasons (2005, 2006 and 2007) of Real TV [it], the Italian version of Real TV, aired by Italia 1.[11] In 2006 her popularity grew because she played[12] the role of Black Cat in early evening quiz show Mercante in fiera [it][13] hosted by Pino Insegno on Italia 1 and in the same period she posed again for a nude calendar[7] for the sports magazine Controcampo[14] for the 12 months[15] of 2007 year achieving success again.[16] In March 2007 she hosted,[17] with Daniele Bossari, the television quiz Azzardo [it] aired by Italia 1.[17] In the summers of 2007 and 2008 she presented, on Rai 3 with Stefano Nones Orfei, the variety Circo Massimo Show (this commitment of Ainett Stephens continued also in the summers of 2009 and 2010 changing various partners). In 2008 she hosted, along with Taiyo Yamanouchi, the 3rd season of the comedy program of Rai 3 La Tintoria [it]. She took part, with various partners, in the cast of the Saturday Night Live from Milano, a comedy show aired on Italia 1 from 2006 to 2011. Between 2009 and 2011 she took part,[18] as model and showgirl, in the Chiambretti Night,[19] a late night show hosted on Italia 1 and Canale 5 by Piero Chiambretti.

She took part in Ciao Darwin in 2007 (fifth edition) and 2010 (sixth edition) as showgirl and model. She led on RAI eight editions (2007-2014) of the International Circus Festival of Monte-Carlo and the International Circus Festival of Tomorrow, two summer events dedicated to the circus.[3] She joined again Pino Insegno in the early evening quiz Mercante in fiera [it],[20] aired on Italia 1 in 2009-2010 and then in 2012, Mercante in fiera YOUNG [it], playing the dual role of Black Cat and White Cat.[20] On 8 March 2010 she was the guest star of the final episode[21] of the tenth season of the Grande Fratello, aired on Canale 5, and then shortly after she took part,[21] with Juliana Moreira and Nicola Savino,[21] in the variety of Italia 1 Matricole & Meteore [it].[21] In 2011 she made her debut as actress for cinema reciting[22] in Amici miei - Come tutto ebbe inizio, a film directed by Neri Parenti.[23]

In 2013 she hosted, together with Andrea Lehotská and David Larible,[24] the summer program of Rai 3 Circo Estate [it] (and later the trio Stephens-Lehotská-Larible was confirmed for the 2014 edition of that program). From September 2013 to June 2015 she took part in television programs of Rai 2 Detto fatto [it] (as a showgirl) and Quelli che... il Calcio[25] (in the latter she took part as an "aspiring journalist"[26] during the gags created by the comedians active in that show). In May–June 2014 she took part as a pundit and showgirl in the cast,[3] together with Chiara Nasti (an Italian fashion blogger and social media influencer very famous in Italy and in Europe)[27] and Sofia Valleri (an Italian-Greek model),[28] of the late night show Chiambretti Supermarket [it] hosted on Italia 1 by Piero Chiambretti. In late 2021 she took part in the sixth season of Grande Fratello VIP as contestant.[3]

Personal life

Ainett Stephens, after nine years of engagement,[29] married the Italian businessman[30] Nicola Radici on 3 September 2015.[31] This couple had their first child, named Christopher, on 18 October 2015,[32] the first for her and the second for Radici.[33]
