Burt Grinstead (born 1988) is an American actor. He is best known for Written By (2016), Eat with Me (2014) and the web series Burt Paxton: Private Detective (2014-2015).

Grinstead starred in Death Race 2050, a sequel to the 1975 film Death Race 2000, along with Malcolm McDowell.[1]
Grinstead was born in Boca Raton, Florida. He moved with his family to Bel Air, Maryland. He spent most of his childhood in the small town of Paxton, Massachusetts, where he attended Wachusett Regional High School and played football and lacrosse.[2] As a child, his family spent some time living in Southern California. It was during that time that Grinstead began acting in commercials.[3] He later trained as an actor at The American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City.[4]
Grinstead is known for the comedic web series Burt Paxton: Private Detective, in which he stars as Burt Paxton, an inept Los Angeles detective.[5] In 2015, he was nominated for Best Male Actor in a Comedy for this role.[6]
Grinstead's first feature length film appearance was a supporting role in Eat with Me (2014), a romantic comedy starring George Takei and Sharon Omi. In 2014 and 2015, he had supporting roles in the films Sebastian and Better Half. Grinstead played the villain Jed Perfectus in Death Race 2050, the sequel to the cult film Death Race 2000 (1975), which was released in January, 2017.[1]
