Cha Chung-hwa (Korean: 차청화; Hanja: 車清華; born on 28 April 1980)[1] is a South Korean actress. She is alumni of Sangmyung University, Department of Theatre. She made her debut in 2005, since then, she has appeared in number of films and television series. She is known for her roles in Crash Landing on You (2019), Mr. Queen (2020-21), Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha (2021), and Dr. Park's Clinic (2022). She has acted in films also: As One (2012) and Train to Busan (2016) among many.[2]

Cha Chung-hwa after studying drama at Sangmyung University began her career with theater performances of the musical Backstreet Story in 2005 and then Lunatic in 2008. She made her film debut in 2010 with film Harmony.[3]
In 2019 she appeared in tvN's TV series Crash Landing on You, then followed it with Mr. Queen in 2020 and Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha in 2021.[4]
In August 2021 she joined the crew of rebooted show Saturday Night Live Korea along with Red Velvet's Wendy.[5] In September, she was cast in web series Dr. Park's Clinic as Choi Mi-yeong, which premiered on TVING in January 2022.[6]
On January 19, 2022 Cha signed an exclusive contract with YNK Entertainment.[7] The same year, she joined the SBS legal drama Why Her as professor of family medicine.[8]
