Personal life
Bichir was born in Torreón. His parents are Alejandro Bichir and Maricruz Nájera.[6] His paternal family are Lebanese actors.[7][8] His brothers are Odiseo and Bruno.[9] He worked at the National Theater Company, performed Shakespeare and Dostoyevsky, and won several awards at the Mexican Association of Theater Critics.[10] He attended the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute, and worked at Rosa Mexicano Restaurant.[11] Bichir is an American Civil Liberties Union Ambassador of Immigration Rights.[12][13][14]
His second wife, Stefanie Sherk, committed suicide by drowning in a swimming pool on 12 April 2019. The couple met in 2010.[15][16][17][18][19] He was married to Lisset for two years. He has a daughter.[20][21][22]
Career
Bichir played Fidel Castro in Che[23] and an emigrant in A Better Life.[24] He starred in the crime series The Bridge[25][26][27] and the western film The Hateful Eight.[28] His directorial debut film Un Cuento de Circo & A Love Song premiered at the Morelia International Film Festival.[29][30] Other films including Alien: Covenant,[31] The Nun[32] and Chaos Walking.[33] He starred in the remake series Grand Hotel.[34]

Demián Bichir Nájera (* 1. August 1963 in Mexiko-Stadt) ist ein mexikanischer Schauspieler.
