Divyansha Kaushik is an Indian actress who primarily works in Telugu films. She made her acting debut with the Telugu film Majili (2019), for which she received SIIMA Award for Best Female Debut – Telugu nomination. She made her Hindi film debut with The Wife (2021).[1]

Early life


Kaushik was born and brought up in Delhi. Her mother Anju Kaushik is an established make-up artiste who has also worked with Rani Mukerji.[2] She worked as an intern with Yash Raj Films.[3]


Career


Kaushik made her acting debut with the Telugu film Majili opposite Naga Chaitanya in 2019.[4] It received positive reviews from the audience and critics and became a box-office success.[5] Firstpost's critic stated "Divyansha Kaushik is a terrific new talent and she is the big surprise package of Majili".[6][7]

She then made her Hindi film debut with The Wife in 2021.[8] The film received mostly mixed reviews from critics and released on ZEE5.[9]

She portrayed the lead opposite Ravi Teja in the 2022 Telugu film Ramarao on Duty.[10] It received negative reviews, Times Of India stated "Rama Rao on Duty is a chore to sit through, meandering between being a proper thriller and a masala entertainer that's not engaging".[11] It became a box-office failure.[12]

Kaushik will next appear in Michael opposite Sundeep Kishan. It will mark her pan-India debut.[13] She also has Sudheer Varma's next Telugu film opposite Nikhil Siddharth[14] and the long delayed Tamil film Takkar opposite Siddharth.[15]
