Gareth L John Forwood (14 October 1945 – 16 October 2007)[1] was a British actor,[2] the only child of actors Anthony Forwood and Glynis Johns.[3]

Forwood was educated at Chilton Cantelo School in Somerset.[4] He was a boarder.
Forwood made his professional acting debut in the sitcom The Golden Age in 1967.[5] He made his cinematic debut in The Bofors Gun the following year, and went on to prosper as a character actor with over 40 credits in film, television and theatre. Although he never achieved the professional success of his parents, Forwood's career was marked with recurring roles in several large productions.
Alongside his acting career, Forwood worked as a guest commentator for the BBC.
In 1973, Forwood married Veronique Lecoq,[6] with whom he had one son. Forwood retired from acting in 2000. He was later diagnosed with cancer, and passed away in 2007 at his home in London.[7]
