For her role in the 2019 short film Her Story, Johanningmeier was awarded Best Actress at the 2019 Noida International Film Festival.[7][8] Brian Tallerico from RogerEbert.com praised Johanningmeier's performance in the 2019 film 100 Days to Live, writing that she "is natural and charismatic in a way that really works. (She could totally anchor an NBC drama)."[9]
