He became in the Europe of 1960 a Creole icon of the Italian western.[2] And long before being Tacupay,[3] a Waco Indian and faithful of Maniña Yerichana, the master of dramatic art in the country, he shared a set with Orson Welles, Terence Hill, Paco Rabal, Steve Reeves and Lee Van Cleef. It was also directed by Pulitzer Prize-winning writer Norman Mailer.[4][5] As a Latin American pioneer in the cinema of the old continent, Spain pays tribute to him, in 2015, for his impeccable career.[6]
