Joseph Quinn (born 1993 or 1994)[1] is a British actor, best known for his role as Eddie Munson in the fourth season of the Netflix series Stranger Things.[2][3] Prior to his role in Stranger Things, Quinn has appeared on British television in Dickensian (2016), the miniseries Howards End (2017) and Catherine the Great (2019). He has also had supporting roles in the BBC series Les Misérables and Strike.

Quinn was born in London, England.[4] Raised in South London, he attended Emanuel, an independent school, from 2007 to 2012;[5] he received a bursary as part of their drama scholar program.[6] He subsequently attended drama school at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, graduating in 2015.[1][7]
Following school, he was cast in the main role of Arthur Havisham in the BBC One television series Dickensian.[8][9] The show premiered in December 2015. During the following years, he acted on the London stage at the National Theatre and Off West End. He starred in the 2017 four-part series Howards End as Leonard Bast, a young bank clerk, opposite Hayley Atwell.[10] In the same year, he starred in the short film KIN, and appeared in Season 7 of the HBO series Game of Thrones as Koner, a Stark soldier. In 2019, he portrayed Will Ladislaw in a BBC Radio 4 adaptation of Middlemarch.[11]
Quinn acted also in theatre plays, one of which he won an award for, as "Best actor in a studio production" at the Manchester Theatre Awards 2017 for his performance in "Wish List".[12]
In 2022, he portrayed Eddie Munson in the fourth season of Stranger Things. He was cast in the role in 2019, with filming for the season taking place in 2021.[13] Quinn was nominated for a Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Streaming Series for his role.[14] In August 2022, Quinn signed with CAA.[15]
On August 23, 2022, a reboot of the Lords of the Fallen video game was announced, with a trailer narrated by Quinn.[16] Quinn became the official face for the Gris Dior fragrance in October 2022.[17]
At the Newport Beach Film Festival Honors on 16 October 2022, Variety named Quinn as one of their "10 Actors to Watch".[18] In November 2022, British GQ named Quinn to its list of Men of the Year Honourees.[19]
