Marie-Luise Millowitsch was born on November 23, 1955 in Cologne, North Rhine-Westfalia, Germany.[1] She is the daughter of Willy Millowitsch[2] and one of the three sisters of Peter Millowitsch.[3][4][5]

She studied veterinary medicine in Munich (doctorate in 1991).[6][7] She lived with her partner in Cologne. The couple split in December 2009 after eight years of relationship.[8]
