Coroy was born and raised in Santa María de Jesús, Guatemala.[2][3][4][5] She speaks Kaqchikel Mayan as well as Spanish and some Poqomam Mayan.[2][5]
In 2016, she graduated from University of San Carlos de Guatemala with a degree in acting.[2]
She was discovered via a casting call by Jayro Bustamante.[3][5] She is best known for her roles in Bustamante's films Ixcanul and La Llorona.[5]
