Mona Fastvold (born 7 March 1981) is a Norwegian filmmaker and actress based in Brooklyn, New York. Her feature directorial debut was The Sleepwalker (2014) at Sundance.[1] She has directed music videos for several musicians, most notably ex-husband Sondre Lerche.

Fastvold co-wrote the screenplay for The Childhood of a Leader and the story for Vox Lux with Brady Corbet, who directed both films.
Fastvold had a minor role in The Other Woman.[2]
In 2020, Fastvold directed an adaptation of Jim Shepard's short story The World to Come into a film of the same name, starring Katherine Waterston and Vanessa Kirby.
She married Norwegian musician Sondre Lerche in 2005.[3] They divorced in 2013.[4][5] She has been in a relationship with actor-director Brady Corbet since the production of her film The Sleepwalker (2014). They had a daughter in 2014.[6][7]
