Prashant Shetty known professionally as Rishab Shetty is an Indian director and actor who primarily works in Kannada-language cinema. Shetty is a diploma holder in film direction from the Government Film and TV Institute in Bangalore[2] and has worked with A. M. R. Ramesh on Cyanide.[3]

Shetty then assisted Arvind Kaushik on a TV series[clarification needed] and went on to make his acting debut in Thuglak.[4] Shetty played a small role as a police officer in Pawan Kumar's Lucia, and then played a key role in Ulidavaru Kandante, which is directed by Rakshit Shetty. He also worked as a director and actor in Kantara and has a background in Bhoota Kola, a theatrical folk art from coastal Karnataka.[5] Shetty won the National Award for Best Childrens' Film for his 3rd directorial film Sarkaari Hiriya Praathamika Shaale Kaasaragodu in 2018.
