Carl Alwin Heinrich Neuß (17 de junio de 1879-30 de octubre de 1935) fue un director de cine y actor alemán, conocido por interpretar a Sherlock Holmes en una serie de películas mudas durante la década de 1910. También interpretó el doble rol de Jekyll y Hyde en la versión fílmica muda 1910 de la famosa novela Dr. Jekyll y Sr Hyde, dirigid por August Blom.[1] Interpretó nuevamente el doble rol de Jekyll y Hyde en la 1914 película muda alemana Ein Seltsamer Fall, guionada por Richard Oswald.[2]

Carl Alwin Heinrich Neuß (17 June 1879 – 30 October 1935) was a German film director and actor, noted for playing Sherlock Holmes in a series of silent films during the 1910s. He also played the dual role of Jekyll and Hyde in the 1910 Danish silent film version of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, directed by August Blom.[1] He played Jekyll and Hyde again in the 1914 German silent film Ein Seltsamer Fall (translation: A Strange Case), scripted by Richard Oswald.[2]
