Kim Young-ok está casada, la pareja tiene una hija.[6]
Es buena amiga del actor surcoreano Byun Hee-bong.[7]
Carrera
En abril de 2020 se unió al elenco recurrente de la serie The King: The Eternal Monarch, donde interpretó a Noh Ok-nam, la nana del Rey Lee Gon (Lee Min-ho) a quien cuidó desde que sus padres murieron.
