Trayectoria


En sus comienzos, fue actriz de cine y televisión, para más tarde pasar a la dirección y al guion cinematográfico.[1] En 2019, dirigió, produjo y fue coguionista de su primer largometraje, The Mustang.[2] La película fue nominada a la Mejor Ópera Prima en la 35ª edición de los premios Independent Spirit y ganó el premio Bingham Ray 2019 y el premio Gotham al Cine Independiente de ese año.[3][4] También ganó el premio al Mejor Primer largometraje en la 24ª edición de los premios Satélite.[5]

Tiene en su haber dos cortometrajes, Atlantic Avenue y Rabbit. Con el segundo debutó en el Festival de Cine de Sundance.[6][7][8] En 2019, ha dirigido tres episodios, incluido el piloto, de la serie de televisión The Act.[9]

Laure de Clermont-Tonnerre is a French film actress, director, producer, and screenwriter. Beginning as an actress in primarily French film and television, she transitioned into film directing and screenwriting.[1] In 2019, she directed, associated produced, and co-wrote her debut feature film, The Mustang.[2] For the film, she was nominated for Best First Feature at the 35th Independent Spirit Awards and she won the Bingham Ray Breakthrough Director Award at the 2019 Gotham Independent Film Awards.[3][4] She also won Best First Feature at the 24th Satellite Awards.[5] She had previously written and directed two shorts, Atlantic Avenue and Rabbit, debuting the latter at Sundance Film Festival.[6][7][8] In 2019, she also directed three episodes, including the pilot, of the TV show The Act.[9] She's set to direct a film adaptation of D. H. Lawrence's novel, Lady Chatterley's Lover, starring Emma Corrin.[10]
