Uno special televisivo anime dal titolo Tales of Zestiria: dōshi no yoake, prodotto da Ufotable, è andato in onda il 30 dicembre 2014 per promuovere la pubblicazione del gioco[3], mentre una serie televisiva anime intitolata Tales of Zestiria the X, sempre a cura dello stesso staff e acquistata in Italia da Dynit per VVVVID[4], è stata trasmessa in due stagioni tra il 3 luglio 2016 e il 29 aprile 2017[5][6]. In varie parti del mondo gli episodi di the X sono stati trasmessi in streaming, in contemporanea col Giappone, anche da Daisuki (coi sottotitoli italiani inclusi)[7], Funimation[8] e AnimeLab[9].

Tales of Zestiria (Japanese: テイルズ オブ ゼスティリア, Hepburn: Teiruzu Obu Zesutiria) is an action role-playing game. It is the fifteenth main entry in the Tales series, developed by Bandai Namco Studios and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. It was released in January 2015 in Japan on the PlayStation 3. For Western release in October of the same year, it was also ported to PlayStation 4 and Microsoft Windows via Steam. The PS4 version was released in Japan in July 2016. As with previous entries in the Tales series, the game uses a variation of the action-based Linear Motion Battle System, with additional elements including a navigable open world, and the ability for certain characters to fuse into a single entity in battle to deliver powerful attacks.[fr] Tales of Zestiria
