Gurratan Singh Aulakh (born 23 September 1953) is an Indian film and television actor, director, writer,[1][2][3][4][5] producer[6][7] and sports promoter.[8] He officially started his career with the Punjabi hit 'Mamla Garbar Hai' [9] opposite Gurdas Maan where he played the main villain. His project ‘Mitter Pyaare nu Haal Mureedan da Kehna’[10][3] featured an appearance by Akshay Kumar.[11]

He is the brother-in-law of wrestler and filmmaker Dara Singh.[12] He continues to appear in films and television.[13][14][15] Ratan Aulakh has been honored with Punjab Rafi Ratan Award in 2022[16][17][18] and 'Pride of Punjabi Cinema' award by the Punjabi Screen Club in July 2019. [19][20] He also works to bring Hindi Filmmakers to Punjabi cinema.[13][21][22]
