Renuka Jeyapalan is a Tamil Canadian film and television director.[1] She is most noted for the short film Big Girl, which won the Toronto International Film Festival Award for Best Canadian Short Film at the 2005 Toronto International Film Festival[2] and was a shortlisted Genie Award finalist for Best Live Action Short Drama at the 27th Genie Awards.[3]
She was co-director with Kris Booth and Jordan Canning of the 2017 feature film Ordinary Days,[4] and directed the short films Arranged and A Bicycle Lesson. She has directed episodes of Murdoch Mysteries, Kim's Convenience, and Workin' Moms. She has also directed episodes of the popular Netflix series Ginny and Georgia, which was released in 2021.[5]
Stay the Night, her solo feature debut, premiered in 2022.[6]
