Ajay Wardhan (Hindi: अजय वर्धन)[2] is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language biographical drama film directed by Pragathi Agarwal. The story is based on the life of famous dental surgeon Dr. Ajay Aryan, who had struggled from root to apex and finally achieved all the heights. The films stars Bigg Boss 12 fame Romil Chaudhary, Arjumman Mughal, Ruslaan Mumtaz and Aham Sharma in lead roles. The fight sequence was coordinated by Vijay Cheera.[3]

Plot

The film revolves around the life journey of a famous dental surgeon from Chandigarh, named Dr Ajay Aryan. The film shows how difficulties Dr Ajay Aryan get in achieving his goal. His journey from gazing sheeps and goats in his small village to become the famous dental surgeon is being shown in the film.[7]

Production

Development

After the success of Hindi film Kabir Singh, a team of Dental Surgeons decided to make a film which inspires the young era by portraying passion, enthusiasm and spirit. The film is not a journey of Dr. Ajay Aryan, but an interpretation by a tam of oral surgeons. From the initial days of mature childhood memories, he always wanted to shine like the water pearl on the leaves and he really eemphasises on his teacher's saying

"Paani ki boond jab samandar mei hoti hai toh uska koi astitva nahi hota hai, par jab wahi boond patto par hoti hai toh moti ki tarah chamakti hai"

This phrase always sets with the life of Dr.Ajay Aryan

Casting

After months of searching many potential actors during the pandemic, the team zeroed in on Romil Chaudhary to play Dr. Ajay Aryan. Rommil immediately agreed to work in the project upon hearing the story. The Actor underwent extensive learning of Dental profession for the role. Later, Pihu Sharma was cast as Dr.Pragati Agarwal. Romil Chaudhary visited Chandigarh and Haryana, hometown of Dr.Ajay Aryan to meet him directly and know more about him. Sri Lankan Actress Rashiprabha Sandeepni, who rose to fame with the song 'Naina-Naina Jab Bhulna Hi Tha is debuting in Indian Cinema through this film.

Filming

The principle photography began from mid 2022. The film was mainly shot in Haryana and some portions were shot in Punjab, Chandigarh, Mumbai and outskirts of Himachal Pradesh.

Soundtrack

The Music and background score were composed by Monty Sharma, the first collaboration with Prasidh Eklavya Entertainment. The soundtrack features eight songs with lyrics penned by Dr. Ajay Aryan
