On the review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes, 100% of 46 critics' reviews are positive, with an average rating of 8.1/10. The website's consensus reads, "An uncommonly patient thriller, Azor elegantly slips the viewer into its cool grasp and never lets go."[11] On Metacritic, the film has a weighted average score of 88 out of 100, based on 16 critics, indicating "universal acclaim".[12]
