Bhola Shankar is an upcoming Indian Telugu-language masala action comedy film directed by Meher Ramesh.[1] An official remake of the 2015 Tamil film Vedalam, it stars Chiranjeevi as the titular character with Tamannaah and Keerthy Suresh. [2][3]

Not to be confused with Bhole Shankar.

Bhola Shankar is scheduled for a theatrical release on 14 April 2023.

Production


Initially, Sai Pallavi was approached for Chiranjeevi's sister role in the film but she rejected due to creative differences.[11] Keerthy Suresh was cast in her place.[6] Music director Mani Sharma's son Mahati Swara Sagar was signed onto this film as the composer.[12] Tamannaah is cast opposite Chiranjeevi in their second collaboration after Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy (2019).[5] An official launch was held on 11 November 2021.[13] The shoot began on 15 November 2021. In December 2021, the film completed its first schedule.[14] In January 2022, a new schedule started with Chiranjeevi joining the sets.[4]

Music composed by Mahati Swara Sagar. [15] Lyrics are written by Ramajogayya Sastry, Sreemani and Kasarala Shyam.[7]

Bhola Shankar is scheduled for theatrical release on 14 April 2023.[16]
