The film was produced by Milestone movie makers. It is a "drama-thriller" set in Mumbai, Matheran and Maljesh Ghatt, and the principal photography began in the first week of May 2015. Since more clarity was to be made for few more details, the film's title was revealed in April 2015 along with a title poster.
