Die Like Lovers (previously titled Soul Assassin) is an upcoming American thriller film starring Bruce Willis. It was directed by Jesse Atlas, in his feature film directorial debut, written by Aaron Wolfe, and produced by Jeff Elliott. It is based on Atlas and Wolfe's short film Let Them Die Like Lovers. The film is scheduled to be released in the United States by Saban Films.

Premise


A former black-ops soldier tries to find the murderer of a woman's husband who is killed during an experimental military program.

On April 29, 2021, it was announced that Bruce Willis would star in Soul Assassin, a thriller film in which Nomzamo Mbatha and Dominic Purcell entered negotiations to star.[2] Filming began on June 15, 2021, in Bessemer, Alabama.[3][4][5] In July 2021, Saban Films acquired the distribution rights to the film.[6] In the same month, Barry Jay Minoff was cast in an undisclosed role, while Jeff Elliott was revealed to have produced the film, through Brickell & Broadbridge International, alongside 120dB Films.[1] In August 2021, Mustafa Shakir was cast in an undisclosed role.[7][8] The film was later retitled Die Like Lovers.[9] Die Like Lovers is one of the last films to star Willis, who retired from acting because he was diagnosed with aphasia.[10][11] By May 2022, Hannah Quinlivan and Fernanda Andrade were set to appear in undisclosed roles.[12][13]


Release


Die Like Lovers was originally set to be released in September 2022, by Saban Films.[14]
