FCUK: Father Chitti Umaa Kaarthik is a 2021 Indian Telugu-language comedy film, produced by KL Damodar Prasad through Sri Ranjith Movies and directed by Vidyasagar Raju. It stars Jagapathi Babu, Ram Karthik, Ammu Abhirami, Baby Saharshitha, and music composed by Bheems Ceciroleo. Jagapathi Babu played the lead role after a long gap.[1]

Plot


The film begins with Fhani Bhupal a big-time Casanova and proprietor of a successful condom company. Karthik a flirt, his only son plays the role of the bride's grooming agency. The father-son share an enormous deep bond and an inseparable affectionate friendship. Uma a pediatrician belongs to a traditional family with values and norms. Plus, she is betrothed to Ph.D. (Pathuri Hanumantha Das) who is an exasperated foreign return guy and obtains no knowledge about relationships. Just he has endorsed the match as Uma's conscientious joint family is salutary for his thesis. Karthik & Uma are acquainted at a rave when her friend Priyanka teases that she cannot entice any men no longer as she is affianced. So, Uma lures Karthik as a bet but on the spur of the moment, he truly loves her when she divulges the actuality. Forthwith, annoyed Karthik seeks her penalty of 3 days of the date which she agrees as it is inevitable. At the end of it, Uma misconstrues Karthik as a tomcat chides, and quits. Meanwhile, Karthik learns that his father is admitted to the hospital. Immediately, he flies not even conscious that there are no clothes on his body. Here as a flabbergast, the nurse handovers a cute baby Chitti to Karthik proclaiming as his father’s daughter when Fhani Bhupal moves rearward.

During the outdoor shooting of his product, Fhani Bhupal comes across a prostitute Kalyani who is his model. On the spot, she is mortified by his men when Fhani Bhupal retorts and addresses their pains & eminence which makes Kalyani adore him. The same night fated they share a single room and are consummates. After one year, Kalyani dies in an accident leaving Chitti's responsibility to Fhani Bhupal. Presently, a little bit of debate runs between father & son which is defeated by their idolization. As it happens, Karthik also develops bosom bondage towards Chitti. One night, when Fhani Bhupal is out of the station Karthik neglects Chitti as a drunkard and she collapses out of dehydration. Therein, he edgily rushes to the hospital when Uma spots his genuine love for the kid. Karthik imparts the entire fact to Uma. Though she heckles at first, comprehends after listening about their mutual affection. The next day, Uma proceeds to Karthik's house to invite him to her espousal which makes him despondent. Consequently, Uma is also under dichotomy because she too starts loving Karthik. Accordingly, she requests him to accommodate her without delay.

Currently, the 3 of them reach their village when Uma's family stares at them suspiciously. Hence, Uma forges by introducing Karthik as his widower friend and Chitti as his daughter. Since his wife passed away recently, she guested him home for diversion and to be aware of child-rearing. Now Karthik gets nearer to the family, further they also endear him. Meanwhile, Ph.D. feels something fishy and mistrusts Uma's chastity wherefore the nuptial is called off. At this point, Uma's father Raghavaiah decides to knit Uma with Karthik and moves with the proposal when the truth breaks out. Raghavaiah lambasts Karthik's family, rebukes & slaps Uma, and excludes her. Besides, a rift arises between Fhani Bhupal & Karthik who imputes that he is the cause of all his troubles. Thus, Fhani Bhupal advances to Raghavaiah along with Chitti to plead for his son's life. Here, Karthik is agitated regarding his father & sister and makes a video on social media to know their whereabouts. Abruptly it becomes huge viral when the media starts its investigation and telecasts 24/7. Ahead before, Fhani Bhupal makes a try-out to speak Raghavaiah which shows pain, contrition, and intimacy. Fortuitously, Chitti records and forwards it to the media without her knowledge. Uma's family views it on screen before Fhani Bhupal lands and changes their mindset. At last, Fhani Bhupal gets acceptance for the wedding. Finally, the movie ends on a happy note with the marriage of Karthik & Uma.

Reception


The film was released with mixed reviews from the audience and negative reviews from critics.[6][7] A critic from The Times of India opined that “Overall, despite a good story about that deals with the orthodox nature of society, FCUK fails to make a mark. Watch at your own risk!”.[7] Telangana Today criticized the film while praising the performance of Raam Karthik.[8] A critic from The New Indian Express wrote that “what we get on screen is just a farcical drama”.[9] A critic from 123Telugu said that "FCUK is a bold movie narrated in a boring manner".[10]
