A couple living in a quiet suburb soon have their lives turned upside down by a mysterious tunnel in the basement of their new home.[1]
In early January 2021 Wild Bunch International announced the release of several French films despite the strict restrictions imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic. One of those movies would be "Incroyable mais vrai", a comedy movie directed by Quentin Dupieux.[1]
Shooting was wrapped in late 2020 and the film premiered at the 72nd Berlin Film Festival as a Berlinale Special Gala.[1][2]
On the review aggregation website Rotten Tomatoes, the film holds an approval rating of 96% based on 24 reviews, with an average rating of 7.30/10.[3] Metacritic assigned the film a weighted average score of 75 out of 100, based on 7 critics, indicating "generally favorable reviews".[4]
