The film begins in a village where a fine girl Maya daughter of an attendee Gopal works under a catholic priest Father Henry. Suddenly, one night Father knocks on his door requests Gopal to guard a child until his return, and Maya names him Ram. After some time, Gopal passes away when the Panchayat accuses Maya and expels her. Now, she proceeds to Bombay where a kind-hearted taxi driver Kaasim shelters her. Years roll by, Ram grows up as a wise person under the care of Maya, and Kaasim becomes chauffeur to a millionaire Mr. Williams. Since his wife Polly is a nervous breakdown patient, Kaasim enrolls Maya as her caretaker. Mr. William’s couple adopted his younger brother Peter’s son Victor as a vice. Ram loves a girl Mary whom Victor too aspires. Hence, he derides Ram regarding his parentage when annoyed Ram denounces his mother. Then, Kaasim rebukes and divulges the fact when Ram realizes the excellence of Maya. Once, William narrates the reason behind Polly’s distress to Maya. 25 years ago, they fostered Victor as they are childless. Soon, Polly became pregnant at that time his friend Father Henry is a frequenter of their house. Exploiting it, begrudged Peter attributes illicit relations between them. Believing it, William seeks to kill the newborn baby. Knowing it, Henry flees with the child. Later, Peter confesses his sin which makes William repent and he is in the search of the child till today. Listening to it, Maya understands the actuality and becomes a truth seeker because of her affection for Ram. But unfortunately, Father Henry arrives and recognizes her when panic-stricken Maya runs away, goes into Virgo of insane, and collapses clinging to Ram. However, Ram makes her normal by proclaiming that no one can turn away from him. Finally, the movie ends on a happy note.
