The film begins with Pardhasaradhi a justice-seeking ruffian who has been ostracized by his father Raghavaiah from their village. In the city, Pardhasaradhi becomes envious of gangster JB, and his gang. Once, Sivaram Prasad a wealthy industrialist, and the soulmate of Raghavaiah visit their village. Therein, he proposes to knit Raghavaiah's daughter Sumathi and his son Mohan. Pardhasaradhi secretly attends the wedding where a dancer Saroja performs a program. Mohan entices Saroja but rejects him as she is already in love with Pardhasaradhi. Sumathi steps into her in-law's house where she receives a hard welcome from her mother-in-law Rajyalakshmi, and her sisters-in-law, Rekha & Rani.
Concurrently, Ganapathi, Pardhasaradhi's bestie at the village, lands in the city. Pardhasaradhi accommodates him when he is aware that Sivaram Prasad is his maternal uncle. Plus, he was wedded to his cousin Rekha as a child. Now Ganapathi wants to retrieve his wife, much to the chagrin of Rekha and her family. Mohan tries to trap Saroja, but in vain. Pardhasaradhi learns about Sumathi's trials. So, to protect Saroja and also for the betterment of his sister's life, Pardhasaradhi marries Saroja. Sivaram Prasad suddenly passes away, leaving Sumathi to the mercy of her mother-in-law, who immediately turns her out of the house. Meanwhile, JB and his gang slaughter Saroja's brother-in-law Joga Rao and incriminates Pardhasaradhi. However, he breaks out of the bars when his father seeks his aid. JB spells Mohan to forge a remarriage to ensnare Pardhasaradhi but ploys to double-cross him. At last, Pardhasaradhi ceases baddies and shields Mohan which reforms him. Finally, the movie ends on a happy note with Pardhasaradhi reunion of the family.
