Oru Thekkan Thallu Case (transl. A southern brawl case) is a 2022 Indian Malayalam-language action comedy film directed by Sreejith N. and written by Rajesh Pinnadan, based on the short story Ammini Pilla Vettu Case by G. R. Indugopan.[1] The film stars Biju Menon, Padmapriya, Roshan Mathew, and Nimisha Sajayan. Produced by Mukesh R Mehta, Sunil A K, and C V Sarathi. The film received positive reviews and turned out to be a moderate sucesss.

Ammini Pilla's wife, Rukmini, and Podiyan Pilla's lover, Vasanthi, are neighbors and close friends. Ammini Pilla is a highly respected person in the town. One night, when Podiyan Pilla visits Vasanthi for sex, Ammini sees it happening on his land and slaps Podiyan. Infuriated by this, Podiyan Pilla, along with his friends, attack Ammini Pilla. The attack yields Ammini Pilla to bed rest for a couple of months. He decides to teach Podiyan Pilla and his friends, a lesson for attempting at his life, in a such a manner that the society too will acknowledge. Podiyan Pilla and his friends' ego is hurt that Ammini did not file a case, but instead chose to handle things on his own. They are unsure about how to handle the crisis and try to find ways to make sure that they do not face Ammini's wrath.

Production

On 14 July 2021, Biju Menon announced that his next film would be Oru Thekkan Thallu Case and released the film's first look graphic poster of the four pivotal characters.[3][4] On 10 November 2021, Nimisha Sajayan informed that the principal photography of the film would start soon.[5][6] In February 2022, the crew of the film announced that the shoot of the film is completed.[7]

Soundtrack

The music of the film is composed by Justin Varghese.[8]

Oru Thekkan Thallu Case was theatrically released on 8 September 2022.[9]
