Sahajatri was a Bengali drama film directed by Agradoot.[1] This movie was released on 10 March 1951 under the banner of M. P. Productions Pvt. Ltd. The music direction was done by Rabin Chattopadhyay.[2] This movie stars Uttam Kumar, Molina Devi, Bharati Devi, Sabitri Chatterjee and Kamal Mitra in the lead roles. First time Uttam Kumar appeared to this name and kept it permanently from change to Arup Kumar. Unfortunately the film was disappointed in the box office[3][4]

For the first time Hemanta Mukherjee sang on Uttam Kumar'z lip. There pair was become most popular from mid 50s and to be continued to Uttam's rest of career.
All lyrics are written by Gauriprasanna Mazumder; all music is composed by Rabin Chatterjee.

Reception
The film was fourth film of Uttam Kumar. All his previous film was flopped. So not others producer come to him to give offer. That time by a popular actor Pahadi Sanyal convincing then the big banner M.P Production take him for three years contract and this is his first film under M.P. But this film too unsuccessful again in the box office.
