Gino Justin Hudson McKoy is a Canadian singer-songwriter, film director, film producer, screenwriter, music producer.[1][2][3][4] McKoy's music was featured at the 2006 FIFA World Cup,[5] and at the 2007 Cricket World Cup in Jamaica.[6][7]

McKoy was born in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago. He moved to Canada with his family in 1984. He graduated from the University of Toronto in 2004 with an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in World Religions and Political Science. McKoy later attended Mississauga School of Music, where he received vocal training.
After graduating university, McKoy followed his family into the finance sector. He left the banking industry in 2004 and, together with his parents, co-founded Goldove Entertainment, a multi-media corporation focusing on feature film and music production. McKoy moved to Los Angeles in 2009 to pursue a musical career and later branched into film.
McKoy composed music for the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany. His original composition 'Soca Warriors Anthem' was reported as a favorite in The New York Times. In 2007, he composed music for the World Cup of Cricket in Jamaica. McKoy has also been involved in producing and writing a number of feature films. His original music has been well received by the international media including The New York Times and BBC.
On May 16, 2015, Variety Magazine announced McKoy's debut feature film, Little Mizz Innocent.[8]
On June 14, 2019, McKoy's debut album LUMINA EP released, and it was launched worldwide.[9][10] The album includes three music singles: Sensy Girl, Everything to Me, and Runaway. McKoy wrote and recorded the songs.[11] The songs were released under the Goldove record label and are published by BMG Rights Management.[12] The Sensy Girl music video rose to number one on Tempo Networks' video charts.
David Kershenbaum produced “Sensy Girl”, and "Runaway". Kershenbaum jointly produced “Everything To Me” with Greg Phillinganes, who worked as musical director and arranger for Michael Jackson for 30 years. Phillinganes is the producer and arranger for songs on McKoy's forthcoming debut full-length album. In 2018, Mick Guzauski, a 15-time Grammy winner signed on as the mixing engineer for “Sensy Girl” and “Everything To Me”. Runaway, was mixed by Bob Clearmountain.
