He specialized in Latin literature and Roman cultural history.
Life and career
Habinek received his AB in classics from Princeton University in 1975,[1] and later completed his PhD in classical philology from Harvard University in 1981.[1]
He was a professor of classics at University of Southern California[1] from 1992 – 2019, and received two fellowships from the American Council of Learned Societies and the Associates' Award for Excellence in Teaching.[1] He died on January 19, 2019 at the age of 65.[2]
