Zbigniew Jankowski (born 26 December 1931[1] in Bydgoszcz), is a Polish poet, writer, essayist, literary critic.[2]

Zbigniew Jankowski was born in Bydgoszcz, in Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship in Poland. He made his debut as a poet in 1956.[3] He was the organizer and the first president of the Literary Club "Kontakty" in Rybnik,[4] the creator of the poetic and artistic group "Reda" in Kołobrzeg,[5] the organizer and president of the Lower Silesian Branch of the Association of Polish Mariners,[6] animator Of the Academic Literary Circle formed at Basilica of St. St. Nicholas in Gdańsk.[7][8] Member PEN Club, founding member Stowarzyszenie Pisarzy Polskich, ("Association of Polish Writers").[9] From 1975 he lives in Sopot.[10] Three times nominated for Orpheus - Poetic Award of K.I. Gałczyński.[11][12][13] Poet's husband Teresa Ferenc,[14] father of the poet Anna Janko.[15][16]
In 2016, Zbigniew Jankowski was awarded the silver "Medal for Merit to Culture – Gloria Artis".[17][18]
