Manoj Kumar Pramanik is a Bangladeshi actor, model, producer, and teacher.[2] He primarily works in Bengali TV drama and web series. He made his film debut in 2018 with Sincerely Yours, Dhaka. His other films include Operation Sundarbans, Redrum, Mission Extreme, Shonibar Bikel.[3][4][5][6]

Biography

Early life and education

He was born in Radhanagar village under the Niyamot Upazila of the Naogaon District. His father and grandfather were college tutors. He has studied theater and performing arts at the University of Rajshahi.[7]

Career

In 2006, while studying in the University of Rajshahi, he acted in the film Balu Ghori. He then moved to Dhaka in 2008 after finishing his studies. He's a teacher of film and media studies at the Jatiya Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam University. He also teaches at University of Rajshahi.[8]

He started working as an assistant director for Amitabh Reza Chowdhury in 2008.[9] In 2010, he did TVCs for Grameenphone. In 2014, he modeled for the advertisement of Kache Ashar Golpo and starred in the series.[10] He started appearing regularly in TV dramas and short films since 2014.[11] "Ful Futanor Khela", "Kotha Chilo", "Mon Boleche Jabo Jabo", "Sir er Meye", "Nishiddho Bashor", "Twin Returns", "Viral Girl", "Two Mad Men", "Teddy Bear", "Moner Taane", "Tumi Kon Gogoner Tara", etc are some the TV drama he has starred in.[12][13][14][15][16][17][18][19][20][21][22][23][24][25][26][27][28][29]^{[excessive citations]}

He has also worked in films like Shonibar Bikel directed by Mostafa Sarwar Farooki, Halt by Gaushe Alexander and Sahasika directed by Tamim Rahman Anshu, Laboni, The Dark Side of Dhaka directed by Raihan Rafi, Taqdeer, Prem Purana, etc.[30][31][32][33] He also stars in music videos, such as Kara Nilo Loot Kare, which was released in 2021.

In 2021, he set up his production company named Manpachitra.[34]
