José Ezekiel Misa Madrid (Tagalog pronunciation: [ˈrurʊ maˈdɾid]; born December 4, 1997), professionally known as Ruru Madrid, is a Filipino actor who rose to fame in Protégé: The Battle For The Big Artista Break. In 2016, Madrid landed the role of Ybarro/Rama Ybrahim in the television remake of GMA Network's Encantadia.[1][2][3] In 2022, he played the lead role in Lolong.

Ruru's high school Alma mater is the National Christian Life College in Marikina. He had studied there before he rose to his fame. He was a 2nd year high school student there when he joined Protégé. The young actor is a member of a Christian church, Iglesia Ni Cristo.[4][5][6][7][8]
Ruru has a younger sister, Rere, who joined the seventh season of StarStruck.
At the age of 15, Ruru Madrid nominated for Best Actor in Singapore International Film Festival last 2014.[9]Ruru's most recent awards were from the PMPC Star Awards For TV! In 2017, he won Best Drama Actor for Encantadia, and in 2018, he bagged Best Single Performance By An Actor for an episode of Magpakailanman.[10]
As of 2022, Madrid celebates her 10th year anniversary in the showbiz where he landed the role as Dakila for Philippines' biggest new hero on television known as Lolong alongside with Arra San Agustin and Shaira Diaz which declared as Most-Watched Philippine TV Program of 2022. The series has been renewed for season two and made him Action Drama Prince of his generation.[11][12][13][14]
