The film was shot in 3D format with the production company KGA Films. Principal photography began on 1 March 2018 in Thiruvalla, Kerala. The flashback scene before Najeeb began his miserable life in Saudi Arabia was shot in the Kerala schedule. Major portion of the film had to be shot in the middle eastern deserts. The whole film was planned to complete shooting in 150 days and spanning 18 months.[2] After shooting in Thiruvalla and Palakkad, the Kerala schedule was completed by April first week. The remaining shoots were completed in the Wadi Rum deserts of Jordan by May 2020.
Prithviraj, Blessy and team went to Jordan for the shooting of the film in March 2020 and was shortly after suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The department of Non Resident Keralites Affairs (NORKA) on 03 April 2020 approached the Indian embassy in Jordan to enquire about film crew stranded in the country amid the coronavirus lockdown. The embassy contacted the filmmakers and inquired about the well-being of the crew. As the film crew decided to stay on for the shoot, the embassy assured the government's assistance for the crew in every manner possible.[3][4]
Filming restarted in April 2022 from Sahara desert in Algeria and continued for 40 days. After completing shooting in Algeria, crew moved to Jordan and continued to shoot for another 35 days. By end of June, crew has completed the entire shoot.[5][6] Shooting was completed on 14 July 2022 in Perunad, Pathanamthitta.
In total, the film was produced on a budget of 44 crore INR.[7]
The film score and soundtrack are composed by A. R. Rahman. During the promotion of the movie Sarvam Thaala Mayam, A. R. Rahman confirmed that singer Chinmayi has recorded a song for this film. The recording for the Vijay Yesudas track has also been completed.[8]
The film entered post-production in 2022 and is aiming for a film festival slot in 2023.[9]
