Cast
Production
On February 5, 2019, it was announced that Billy Eichner will write and star in a romantic comedy feature film, directed and co-written by Nick Stoller.[1] Principal photography was set to begin on June 7, 2021 in Buffalo, New York and Provincetown, Massachusetts.[3] Filming took place in various locations including in downtown Cranford, New Jersey.[4]
Most of the cast was revealed on September 23, 2021,[5] and September 30, 2021.[6] Bowen Yang and Harvey Fierstein were revealed to have joined the cast on November 4, 2021, and [7] Benito Skinner joined the cast the next day.[8]
The film is the first gay romantic comedy from a major studio featuring an almost entirely LGBTQ principal cast,[2][9] with the exception of Debra Messing and Kristin Chenoweth, whom Stoller calls "allies" of the community.[2]

The first trailer was released on May 18, 2022.[10]
Release
The film is scheduled to be released in the United States on September 30, 2022, by Universal Pictures.[11] It was originally scheduled for release on August 12, 2022.[12]
