Release
The film was set to premiere at the Cannes Film Festival in May 2020, however the festival was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.[3] It had its world premiere at the Deauville Film Festival on 11 September 2020.[4][5] Shortly after, Netflix acquired distribution rights to the film in select territories including the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, New Zealand, South Africa and the Middle East.[6] It was scheduled to be released in France on 28 October 2020, by Le Pacte.[7] However, the film was pulled from the schedule due to theater closures due to the pandemic.[8] It was released in the United States on 26 December 2020.[9] It was released in France on 19 May 2021.[10]
Reception
DNA holds an 86% approval rating on review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes, based on seven reviews, with an average of 7.1/10.[11]
