The drama shows the happiness, love, marriage, deaths and troubles a middle class family in Bangladesh faces in everyday life.[4] The story ends with the death of a young girl called "Tuni" due to a life threatening disease called Leukemia.[5][6] Viewers of the serial demanded Humayun Ahmed to save the character "Tuni". But Ahmed stood on his decision.[7] Humayun Ahmed wrote the story of the drama series for the purpose of raising money to buy a television. Desperate actors and actress criticized the matter for stopping writing the story of the drama as soon as the money was raised to buy a television.[8]
