Kumara Vijayam is a 1976 Indian Tamil-language comedy drama film directed by A. Jagannathan and produced by E. K. Thiyagarajan, Sasikumar and V. P. Chandrasekharan.[1] The film stars Kamal Haasan, Jayachitra and Malayalam actor M. G. Soman. The film had a musical score by G. Devarajan.[2] The film was adapted from the Tamil stage play Perumal Satchi by Komal Swaminathan.

The film was adapted from Tamil stage play Perumal Satchi by Komal Swaminathan.[5] The stage play was previously filmed in Malayalam as Paalazhi Madhanam (1975) with same production company and crews.[6]
The film's soundtrack was composed by G. Devarajan; the lyrics were written by Kannadasan, Pulamaipithan and Poovai Senguttavan.
