Plot
Arora sisters Preeta and Srishti leave their hometown Nasik after the death of their father, Raghuveer Arora, who before dying asked his daughters to go to Mumbai and reunite with their mother, Sarla.
Preeta meets the Luthra family and becomes a physiotherapist to their matriarch, Bani Luthra whose younger grandson Karan, a popular cricket star, shares an adversarial relationship with her while the elder grandson Rishabh, a successful business tycoon, shares a rather cordial relationship. The interpersonal relationships develop and grow from this meeting. Karan-Preeta's alliance slowly blossoms into friendship and they gradually fall in love. After a misunderstanding, Karan starts loathing Preeta and marries her out of spite. Though they resolve their differences but their enemies, Sherlyn and Prithvi, keep creating obstacles for the two to keep them apart.
3 months later
Preeta and Karan adopt a child, Pihu. It is later revealed that Karan's college friend and one-sided lover, Sonakshi, made Preeta realise that it is not possible for her to conceive and she gave her pills which will unknowingly stop her from conceiving. Sonakshi hires a goon who creates an accident, in which Pihu dies, and the entire Luthra family members blame Preeta for it and she is thrown out of the house. Preeta leaves for Bangalore with her grandmother.
2 years later
Preeta is back in Mumbai and is working as a physiotherapist at a clinic. She soon learns about what happened in the past two years, where Prithvi captured the Luthras' property and business, and Mahesh is suffering from mental illness. Soon she starts resolving all the problems for the family, and manages to bring Rishabh back, who was stuck in Dubai due to a case planned and plotted against him by Prithvi and Sherlyn. Karan's mind is been poisoned to make him believe that Preeta and Rishabh are having an affair. In a certain turn of events, Natasha and Roxy push a drunk Karan off the dam and he is presumed to be dead. Preeta finds out that she is pregnant with Karan's child. The Luthras perform their custom, Chadar Andazi, where Rishabh marries Preeta.
5 years later
Preeta has given birth to her and Karan's baby, a daughter, Kavya. A mysterious man named Arjun Suryavanshi, who is infact Karan who had a plastic surgery plus a memory loss after his accident, makes an entry into her life to whom she feels drawn to. After remembering everything, Arjun is on a mission to destroy Rishabh and Preeta because he believes that they were the ones to push him off the dam.
