One Fine Morning (French: Un beau matin) is a 2022 French-German drama film, written and directed by Mia Hansen-Løve. It stars Léa Seydoux, Melvil Poupaud, Pascal Greggory and Nicole Garcia. The film premiered at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival in the Directors' Fortnight section on May 20, 2022.[2] At Cannes, the film won the Europa Cinemas Label Award for Best European Film.[3]

Production


In September 2020, it was announced Léa Seydoux, Melvil Poupaud, Pascal Greggory and Nicole Garcia had joined the cast of the film, with Mia Hansen-Løve directing from a screenplay she wrote.[4] In June 2021, it was announced Mubi would produce the film, and Les films du losange and Weltkino Film to distribute the film in France and Germany, respectively.[5]

Principal photography began in June 2021.[5]


Release


The film will be released by Sony Pictures Classics in North America, Latin America, and the Middle East.[6]


Reception


On the review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes, the film holds an approval rating of 88% based on 33 reviews, and an average rating of 8.0/10.

On Metacritic, the film has a weighted average score of 84 out of 100, based on 12 reviews, indicating "Universal acclaim".
