Plot

Two weeks after the events of the first film and before the second film, Scrat searches for a place to bury his acorn. He finds an ice patch and tries to bury his acorn in it but ends up being flipped under water. Manny, Diego and Sid, who are trying to disagree over summer camp orders, run into scrat at the ice Patch with Sid proceeding to rescue the squirrel. Hearing that he has no family and is all alone, Manny and Diego agree to let Sid keep him only if he follows their orders. Almost a few days later, Scrat is being fed by Sid some ice soup from Diego's bewildering and tries to return to his acorn but Manny stuffs him into a hollow of a tree trunk.

That night, a beaver begins chipping a tree branch where scrat is at and is served summer emergency meetings. Realizing this is his chance, he attempts to escape but runs into Diego. After a chase, Scrat manages to get away but crashes into a mount of snow built by Manny. Sid then appears and scolds the squirrel for disobeying him and throws him somewhere in the ice age. The next morning, Scrat finds himself in a condor's nest and is about to be fed to the baby condor. Just before he can fall into the baby condor's mouth, a tiny Sprout appears from the nest giving the squirrel a time to escape. After using a bark for a sled, he is able to escape from The condor's nest but is hit by the crotch from a nearby tree branch. After he lands, he finds another Acorn and tries to bite into it but it is revealed to be a block of ice making it difficult to eat. Without any acorns and left alone, Scrat sadly buries himself in a huge amount of snow and awakens in the afternoon.

Scrat begins to set on foot to go back to the Ice Age but is later exhausted so he eats a piranha. Unfortunately, the piranha is revealed to lead a whole school of piranhas that chase scrat. After the Terrible chase, the squirrel ends up running into another condor that devours him. Inside the Condor's stomach, Scrat ties up the guts and is shot out of the mouth where he ends up back in the ice age. Feeling happy that he's back in the Ice Age once again, Sid takes him to a nearby orphanage much to squirrel's dismay and the acorn that he had lost rolls across the orphanage.
