The Eken is a 2022 Indian Bengali-language detective film directed by Joydip Mukherjee.[1] The film is produced by Shrikant Mohta and Mahendra Soni under the banner of Shree Venkatesh Films.[2] In the film, Anirban Chakraborty plays the titular role of Ekenbabu, a fictional detective character created by Sujan Dasgupta. The screenplay of the film is written by Padmanabha Dasgupta.[3]

The principal photography of the film began on 28 January 2022.[4] The film was wrapped up on 11 February 2022.[citation needed]

Shamayita Chakraborty rated 4/5 reviewing for The Times of India and opined that the movie is worthy of watching, but wrote that the plot is weak thus making an unpredictable storyline.[8] Roushini Sarkar reviewing for Cinestaan rated 2/4 and opined that the movie has multiple twists, however, said that, the writing is weak and the executing of twists to be, at some instances, boring. She praised the performances of Mukhopadhay and Ghosh but criticized that of others.[9]
