Bugs is awakened by two robbers, Rocky and Mugsy, bursting into his home. They mention they have just committed a jewelry robbery, "all 14-carat," which Bugs mishears as "carrot". After realizing they are thieves, Bugs tricks Rocky into thinking Mugsy is out to get him. When the police arrive and arrest the criminals. Rocky thinks Mugsy gave them away to the police, when in fact Bugs had put up a neon sign flashing the words "ROCKY'S HIDEAWAY".
