Reception

The film won the Grand Prize and the Audience Award at the 2016 Tokyo International Film Festival and subsequently won several awards and nominations.[2] Martin Schwickert, of Zeit Online, said the dialogue had "almost Woody Allen's brilliance and speed."[3]

Die Uraufführung war am 25. Oktober 2016 bei den 50. Internationalen Hofer Filmtagen, deren Eröffnungsfilm Die Blumen von gestern war.[3][4] Der Kinostart in Deutschland war am 12. Januar 2017, in Österreich am 13. Januar 2017.[5] In der Schweiz startete der Film am 28. April 2017.[6]
